Après une école d’ingénieur à Nantes, et avoir obtenu son MSc à l’E.N.S. Cachan, il est devenu professeur associé à l’Institut universitaire de technologie de Nantes. En 1994, son Doctorat préparé au sein du laboratoire LAN concernait la surveillance automatique de l’usinage. Actuellement, il est professeur titulaire à l’Université de Nantes, et chercheur au sein du groupe ROMAS du Laboratoire LS2N. Professeur invité à l’École polytechnique de Montréal (Canada) en 2002, et à l’Université Beihang, en Chine, en 2015. Il a développé les sujets de recherche suivants : robotique de production, usinage composites CFRP, process Monitoring, pilotage intelligent des procédés de production, fabrication Additive, impression 3D pour construction…
Il a supervisé 15 doctorants, et 36 étudiants en MSc. Il a près de 25 années d’expérience en matière de programmes de recherche collaboratifs, avec notamment plus de 25 projets à son actif. Il est impliqué dans le projet européen H2020 COROMA, dans le projet CleanSky RODEO, et dans le projet BATIPRINT3D. Il est l’auteur ou le co-auteur de 42 articles dans des journaux internationaux, de 100 présentations dans des conférences internationales, et de 5 brevets. After an engineer high school in Nantes and MSc degree at E.N.S. Cachan, he became associate professor at the Institute of Technologies of the University of Nantes. In 1994, his PhD at LAN laboratory was about monitoring in machining. Currently, he is full Professor at University of Nantes and researcher in ROMAS group of LS2N Lab. Invited Professor at Polytechnique Montréal (Canada) 2002 and at Beihang University in China 2015. He developed the following research topics: Robotics for machining, CFRP composites machining, Process Monitoring, Smart Machining, Foam Additive Manufacturing, 3D printing for construction…
He has supervised 15 PhD and 36 MSc Students. He has about 25 years of experience of collaborative research programs with more than 25 projetcs. He is involved in H2020 european project COROMA, CleanSky project RODEO and the BATIPRINT3D project. He is author or co-author of 42 articles in international journals, 100 oral Communications at International Conferences and of 5 patents. He is Expert member of the Jules Verne Research Institute of Technology. He is the Assistant for the President of the University of Nantes in charge of Innovation and Enterprises Relationship.
