TED Global Speaker 2017, Ghada Wali est la plus jeune intervenante représentant la région ANMO – Elle est convaincue que le design graphique peut changer le monde. La designer, récompensée par plusieurs prix, a créé une police de caractères arabe qui a été retenue pour figurer parmi les 100 meilleures créations graphiques au monde par la Society of Typographic Arts de Chicago, et son travail a été présenté dans différentes expositions d’art à travers le monde. Le travail de Wali a récemment remporté le concours Granshan à Munich, ainsi que deux prix Adobe Design Achievement à San Diego. Elle a fait partie des UN Women en Égypte et figuré sur la liste de Forbes Europe en 2017 (catégorie « Arts & Immigrants »), faisant d’elle la première femme égyptienne à y apparaître. Wali est titulaire d’une maîtrise en design de l’IED Florence, en Italie. Ses expériences en design comprennent : MI7 Cairo, Fortune Promoseven et J. Walter Thompson, et elle a également enseigné le design graphique dans les universités allemandes et américaines du Caire.
TED Global Speaker 2017, Ghada Wali makes the youngest female speaker representing MENA region – She believes that Graphic design can change the world. The multiple-award-winning designer developed an Arabic typeface that was chosen as one of the best 100 graphic design pieces in the world by the Society of Typographic Arts in Chicago, and her work has been featured in art exhibits around the world. Wali’s work most recently won the Granshan competition in Munich, as well as two Adobe Design Achievement awards in San Diego. She’s been featured in UN Women Egypt and on Forbes Europe’s List 2017 (Arts & Immigrants category) which makes her the first Egyptian woman ever to appear in this category. Wali holds an MA degree in Design from IED Florence, Italy. Her design experience includes MI7 Cairo, Fortune Promoseven and J. Walter Thompson, as well as teaching Graphic Design in both the German & American Universities in Cairo.
