Marie Ekeland est la cofondatrice de daphni, une société de capital-risque qui investit dans les startups technologiques européennes, et s’appuie sur une plate-forme en ligne, et sur une communauté internationale. Elle est par ailleurs membre du conseil de direction de Parrot, Showroomprivé… Elle a débuté sa carrière en 1997 chez J.P. Morgan, à New York, en tant qu’informaticienne. En 2000, Mlle Ekeland a rejoint CPR Private Equity en tant qu’investisseuse en capital-risque. En 2005, elle est passée chez Elaia Partners, à la tête de projets d’investissements dans Criteo, Edoki Academy, Mobirider, Pandacraft, Scoop.it, Teads, Wyplay, et Ykone. En 2012, elle a aussi créé France Digitale, un lobby européen représentant les startups, et qui réunit plus de 700 investisseurs et startups.
