Steph est stratège et chercheur indépendant. Elle a récemment occupé le poste de Directrice de Recherche dans l’agence numérique Clearleft, où elle a aidé des entreprises et des organisations, notamment la Greater London Authority et Virgin Holidays, à développer leur intelligence client en combinant la recherche en design avec d’autres disciplines. Auparavant, elle a dirigé la recherche en design au Telegraph et mené la recherche client au niveau européen pour MailChimp.
Au cours de ses 20 années de travail dans l’industrie du numérique, Steph a exercé de nombreuses fonctions, notamment chef de produit pour une start-up dans l’édition numérique ou encore directrice de la technologie dans une agence digitale. Elle intervient aussi régulièrement lors de colloques et de conférences annuelles à l’Université de Greenwich. Lorsqu’elle n’a pas un appareil numérique dans les mains, elle fabrique des objets de manière artisanale, cultive des fleurs comestibles et a tendance à cuisiner pour tout un régiment. Elle habite aujourd’hui sur son 4e continent sur sa 4e île britannique.
Steph is an independent strategist and researcher. She was most recently the Head of Research at digital agency Clearleft, where she helped companies and organisations, including the Greater London Authority and Virgin Holidays, build customer intelligence through combining design research with other disciplines. Previously, she led design research at the Telegraph and spearheaded European customer research with MailChimp.
In 20 years of working in the digital industry, Steph has worn many hats, including a product lead for a startup in digital publishing and a director of technology at a digital agency. She is also a regular speaker at conferences and guest lectures annually at the University of Greenwich. When not bound to a digital device, she makes things by hand, grows edible flowers and has a tendency to cook enough to feed a continent at a time. She now lives on her 4th continent on her 4th island in the UK.
